Is there any trith that Magnesium dramaticaly enhances your dreams?

Ive read accounts where credible people claim that taking magnesium makes dreams more vivid. On person described them as dreams before taking the magnesium were like watching a black and white tv and after taking it was like having a dream in High definition. Any truth to this? if so what causes it?

I doubt it very much as I take magnesium and I have not noticed any difference in the quality of my dreams. It just might be "suggestion" that makes them think or feel that their dreams are more vivid.

I don't know if its true but I'm going to try some self expirementation .

I don't know about the magnesium part. But may i ask why there is the need to take chemicals to enhance dreamtime? are you having problems remembering your dreams? most dreams in a natural state are pretty vivid, we just don't remember them upon waking. from a shamanic perspective, dreams give us a great abundance of information about our subconscious selves, and taking a chemical to change your dreams may change the output your subconscious brain is trying to tell you in dream time. then again, chemicals can enhance one's perspective by 'thinning the veil' to see other realities. that depends on your perspective and your own ethical and moral standards. i would say if you choose to experiment with chemicals, you do so while in a conscious state rather than during your sleep/dream time, unless of course you are an active lucid dreamer.

if you are considering ingesting chemicals for enhancing dreams, why not try things that don't affect your physiology first? it may just be that you aren't quite remembering them as much as you like. keep a dream journal next to your bed. start writing in it as soon as you wake up. some mornings you may only have one or two good specifics that you remember. have patience with yourself. as you work on dream recall, it will become more easeful and you will begin to remember more and more. you can also try meditating on your dreams later in the day after you are fully conscious. if you can remember details, you can meditate on those details and ask your subconscious to bring more of the dream to your conscious mind. trust in yourself that you are capable of doing such things, and you will find yourself re-living your dream in no time. and finally, you can use stone therapy to help with dream recall as well. red jasper is a very inexpensive stone that, when placed in the pillow or on the head board, will help you with your dream recall. i found my dreams to become much more 'vivid' once i began using this stone, and it really had to do with my ability to recall those dreams, not that they had changed any while i was asleep.

and then, finally, you could also try lucid dreaming. lucid dreaming is when you become conscious in your dream state, and you can actively control your dreams with your conscious mind. it's great for really getting in and figuring out what your subconscious mind is trying to tell you...but it also gives you the opportunity to go to far off lands, fly high into the ethers, etc, all the the conscious mind. very fascinating stuff, and it is pretty easy to find a plethora of information about lucid dreaming and how to books in book stores or off of the internet.
