Should I take magnesium with Calcium?


I just heared that you should take Magnesium with Calcium. Is this true? They said it on Oprah today.

Yes hun it is true鈾f you don't then you are more than likely to become constipated鈾?br>
Calcium and magnesium work together for cardiovascular health鈾lso, calcium needs vitamin D3 (or just plain old sunshine) to be effectively absorbed鈾?br>
Half as much magnesium as calcium is the preferred strength鈾?br>
Eat more foods rich in magnesium and calcium鈾agnesium is known as the antistress mineral and will also help resolve any constipation issues you may have and resolve an upset tummy also鈾?br>
magnesium is essential for effective nerve and muscle functioning and for heart health鈾?br>
Food rich in magnesium are ~ leafy and green vegies, ground up nuts and seeds, cold water fishes such as tuna, sardine, whiting and salmon and wholegrain cereals and breads鈾?br>
Eat more foods rich in calcium ~ leafy and green vegies, sardines, salmon, walnuts, sunflower seeds and peanuts and of course milk and dairy products if you aren't vegetarian or lactose intolerant鈾?br>

You should definitely try to take a multivitamin. The way food is these days, you cannot get everything from your fruits and vegetables like they say.

Magnesium and Vitamin D increase absorbtion. Also, citri-cal is more absorbable than something like calcium carbonate.

Yes it is true the magnesium helps the body absorb the calcium more effectively.
