Is everyone who ate meat from the recalled 143 MILLION POUNDS of beef AT RISK FOR MAD COW disease?

No. The recall was out of concern about E.Coli.

Besides, Cruetzfeldt-Jakob disease (essentially the human version of mad cow disease) is EXTREMELY rare and only occurs in one out of every million people.

Geez.. haven't heard about that. What states is it effecting? I feel sick today and I ate a mcdonalds cheeseburger yesterday. Now Im paranoid haha.

Hmm... I was under the impression that a human couldn't contract MCD....

no nobody was reported sick and it was just a recall because of animal abuse

Downed cows, are frowned upon because that is EXACTLY how an animal affected by B.S.E. acts!

Therefore the practice of selling ''downed'' beef was only restricted in Canada a year ago. I was led to believe the practice had stopped in the U.S.A. several years ago!

As we can see the practice still exists, and probably still does in Canada.
