I am 32 years old and was told that I have Age Related Macular degeneration what can I do to preseve vision?

I also was told that I have cataracts in both eyes. The macular degeneration is mostly found in much older people. I also have a lifetime history of asthma and for a major part of my life was put on steroids which contributes to the cataract. What can I do to preserve the vision that I have which is 20/20 with a mild prescription.

You really need to ask your opthamologist this question. He will be the best one to ask as he is a specialist for the eyes and the conditions. I would hesitate to answer with something this serious. Please talk to you doctor for correct and factual advice on this condition.
