Does anybody have details about the latest medical developments in curing or curtailing macular degeneration? |
A friend of mine has the problem, it was just diagnosed, and we live in Spain. Possibly there are some new treatments we haven't heard about. Vitamins containing zinc have been used for a long time to slow the progression of macular degeneration. Corneal transplant....if your friend is a candidate for that. He should see an ophthalmologist....an eye doctor with a medical degree. disagree corneal transplant does not help with retinal problems, macula is in the retina. Unfortunately no known cures so far, I see some local opthalmologists prescribing lutein vitamin, not sure if it is available in spain, unfortunately it is slowly progressive disorder, you can try webmd.com or mayoclinic.com for some information, good luck I have a relative that had macular degeneration. He wanted to treat the condition without chemical drugs, so he decided to try out a natural solution. The product is called Vizu-All Plus and is made by a company by the name of Native Remedies. |
