Does anyone or knows anyone that has the eye problem macular degeneration?

My mother has this problem, and she has just entered into a 'clinical trail to monitor the effect of intravitreal bevacizumab', is anyone also on this trail? If so, have you or the person you know, noticed a difference in the eyesight like it improving or worsening? If you have, how long has this person been on the trail?
What ever help and advice you can give me to pass onto my mother would be very much appreciated?

Thank you.

If your mother is in a clinical trial and is worried about anything, the best thing for her to do is to speak to the investigator (doctor involved in recruiting and treating patients for the clinical trial) who would have provided her with a patient information sheet with details of the clinical trial, who to contact if she has further questions, who to contact if she suffers a serious adverse event (e.g. hospitalisation, etc) Before entering the trial, she would have signed an informed consent form, together with the consenting investigator, and received a copy of this, along with the patient information sheet. If she wishes to discontinue at any time, it is her right to withdraw her consent. Patients in clinical trials should remain anonymous to anybody outside of the investigator/doctor care in order to protect their confidentiality from the pharmaceutical company sponsoring the trials from knowing patients involved. Therefore, best course is to speak to the investigator/doctor. Hope this information helps your mother.

tell her to eat lots of spinach, it was on the truth about food last night, a very interesting program
