Should MDMA(exctasy) be legalized?

MDMA is in the 3rd stage of FDA testing to be used on people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. What do you think?

Yes. MDMA was used abundantly in the 70's by therapists and it's proven to be quite effective in the mental health field.

I think that doctors should decide, jointly, with the FDA whether or not it's worth it to legalize the drug for medicinal use. The FDA has a responsibility to not legalize products where the pros do not outweigh the cons (why, then, is tobacco legal again?), and the Doctors know what's useful in treating their patients.

Will there be abuse? Always. But it's better to put drugs like that in the hands of doctors and then hold them accountable legally if they screw up and over-dose their patients.
