Is it safe to mix xanax with recreational drugs (MDMA? DMT?)?

My boyfriend has been taking Xanax daily for the last couple of months. Now he is planning to go to Burning Man Festival where he will experiment with different recreational drugs. I need to know if there are any risks in this mix?
does anyone have a medical answer or a personal experience on this?

You know, I really have to say that I am amazed by this question. OF COURSE IT IS NOT SAFE!!! While I am glad that you are questioning the situation, I am just floored that anyone could even consider that mixing recreational drugs may not be risky. Duh!!!

It's not like you can ask your local pharmacist that question. He would tell you there's a possibility of overdosing, depending on the dose of the xanax and how many he takes. My ex-husband used to drink tons of beer with 6 or 7 xanax and he slept through every major social occasion for about 2 years. He also mixed it with pot, crack and cocaine and he's still alive. That's why he's my ex.

Mixing recreational drugs with prescriptions is never safe, and xanax is pretty powerful all on it's own!
So-called "recreational" drugs are always risky. You don't know what they are or where they came from, just the word of someone who's selling drugs!
He could probably get away with smoking some weed, but I wouldn't want to risk doing anything else. He could accidentally O.D. and die!

It's never safe to be mixing drugs without a doctor's concent.
