Can 5 htp affecting serotonin receptors? |
As far as I know MDMA users take 5htp to replenish their serotonin levels. I also know that the excess amount of serotonin released because of MDMA decreases the serotonin receptors with time and therefore everytime u feel less euphoric if u dont give urself time to heal. So if i take 5htp only it supposed to boost up my serotonin levels. If i keep on taking it for a year or so will that affect my serotonin receptors too? 5htp is supposed to balance your seratonin levels in your brain, if you take a normal dose, you should not feel anything but normal... 5htp is good for lots of things, so give it a shot. start small, but dont over dose, over 100mg is too much 5HT is Serotonin. 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5HTP) is a precursor of 5HT. LTryptophan, a natural ingradient of our diet is converted to 5HTP by Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Eating more of these products will not lift depression. |

I think that if you get "clean" MDMA then the facts you stated are correct.
