Melanoma and lymphoma? |
My mother had a stage 4 melanoma 30 years ago. She was just diagnosed with lymphoma (B cell, non hodgkins) Your mother must have misunderstood her initial melanoma diagnosis staging. Stage 4 melanoma means melanoma that has metastasized to both the lymphatic system and to other organs of the body. Stage four melanoma remains as untreatable today as it was 30 years ago with a very poor prognosis and survival rate. Unless your mother experienced some type of divine intervention 30 years ago her chances of still being alive after being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma are zero. I don't know about the relationship between the two. I am a survivor of diffuse large b-cell NHL. I know that treatment they gave me worked really well. |
