Lymphoma and CBC Test? |
If you have lymphoma, can your white blood cell counts remain normal or do they get higher? If so higher, what is the "normal" range that they would be in? Thanks in advance. They can vary.....first time I went thru treatments, mine remained normal......during stem cell transplant, they dropped to 5.....then returned to normal a few weeks later. This last time on chemo they dropped and have stayed below normal, as I am still affected by the drugs used. depends on the type and stage of the lymphoma. There are thirty different types of lymphoma with more than a hundred subtypes so there is no single simple answer to your question. Re-ask your question giving the exact type of lymphoma, stage of disease and age of patient. It depends. My boyfriend has stage 4 NHL and his bloodcount is fine. |
