Theraphy said it will help me if I keep come there all the time and my left leg looks better now. I am so happy now . I said thanks god !

lymphedema is a very serious condition. it is when fluid accumulates in your lymph nodes because your lymph nodes are dysfunctional. it depends on what type of lymphedema that you have, it can be either acute or chronic (your can have it for a short while or you can have it forever), either way, you should probably ask your doctor to clarify what kind of lymphedema that you have, and if you have more questions just google "lymphedema"

Greetings, I'm very glad your doctor sent you for therapy, that is the best thing you can do for your leg. For lymphedema therapy you have to go until your leg is the smallest they can get you then you graduate to home care. They will teach you how to do the therapy yourself, you'll learn skin care, special exercises to do to help move the fluid, and things you should or should not do.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn all you can about lymphedema and stay up to date on different treatments. We hope for a cure someday.

Lymphedema happens when your lymphatic system isn't working as it should work. It works alot like your circulatory system, you know how blood moves through your body, well lymph does the same thing. When it cannot move right, it settles down to the lowest point (gravity) and that would be in your case, your leg.

Please read about lymphedema on my website, http://www.lymphland.com there is also a button to join my support group. We keep up to date with everything about lymphedema, and we also have a chatroom you can come to if you want to talk more about it. The schedule of times we are there is posted on the support group site on yahoo.

Nice to meet you!

Tina
