CJ, Hi I'm Tina, owner of Lymphland Support Group and Website, http://www.lymphland.com

Tell me a little more about the kind of therapy you had, how did you get the lymphedema?

Generally alot of insurances are really stingy with treatment because it's so expensive, we're trying to change that with legislative bills to grant therapy on a basis as needed not any set amount.

There are different kinds of therapy too, there are different methods like Vodder is the most common one where the therapist directs fluid where he/she thinks it should go, Chikly method uses lymphatic mapping where therapists "feel" how the fluid wants to go and direct in that direction.

But again tell me more about the therapy you had, did they wrap your leg? how about skin brushing, did they show you how to do that?

Let me know more and I'll see what I can find out for you.

Tina
