Is there any treatment for Lymphedema? |
It may be of any medical science like alopathic, ayurvedic, homeopathic, magnetic, devotional healings, accupressure, sujok etc. First off you have to be sure you have true lymphedema. Several conditions can mimic lymphedema swelling such as swelling from organ problems, diabetes, vein problems, etc. Your doctor would rule those out with blood work and possibly a veinogram. Next, if it came on all of a sudden, they would rule out infection and cellulitis which is a staph type infection in the tissues. Not all primary lymphedema is congenital (from birth). See lymphedema praecox-meige and lymphedema tarda. Not all infections or celluitis caused by staph. NO alternative methods clinically proven to work .
