Swollen lymph nodes and hypothyroidism? |
since i was diagnosed with underactive thyroid 2wks ago, i've been on levothyroxine and have noticed my lymph nodes in my neck are all swollen and painful! is this the meds? or hypothyroidism doing this? I hear that with cancer, the lymph nodes arent painful...mine are though. any info? I have hypothyroidism also. I take 100mg of levoxal (same thing you take) I have had it for 8 years now and my neck has never hurt. I don't think it is the meds. You need to call your Dr. Also you can try this web site. When you get there click on T, and it will go to thyroid etc... I could not find this as a side effect of the drug. I would contact your doctor to be evaluated. There should be no effect of replacement thryroid medication on the lymphatics. If the swollen nodes do not go down soon, get checked. |
