Swollen lymph nodes. No other symptoms?

In the past 12 hours the lymph nodes in my neck have become swollen and tender. I have no other symptoms. I had mononucleosis three years ago, so it's not that. The lymphs in my groin and armpits are not swollen that I can tell. Both sides of my neck are swollen, but one is worse than the other.

Could it be related to bodily injury? I was trying to break up a fight two nights ago and one of the people involved started to hit me instead. I have 8 or 10 bruises, a knot on my head, swollen cheekbone, swollen jaw, etc. My neck was not injured during the fight, though.
I have also been to the doctor lately and had some blood tests that suggest that I may be becoming hypothyroid (high TSH, normal T3 and T4). They're not conclusive. Could that cause my swollen lymphs?

What should I do to alleviate the pain? Should I take pain killers? What kind? Should I ice it, or use a warm compress?

What, if any, symptoms should I be worried about if they show up?

I also have no skin problems right now. No acne. No rashes or new scratches. I do have eczema.
I am a 20 year old female.

The swelling seems to be just my lymph nodes on the sides of my neck, but there is some tenderness on the front of my neck at the base. Could it be my thyroid? I am worried!
