Do i have Lyme disease????? |
last Feb 2006 i got sick with a low fever, chills,headache. i went to the doctor and he couldnt find anything obvious wrong with me. the symptoms lasted a about a week. every since that day i have suffered from chills, body aches, headaches. i have gone to the doctor several times but i have not been diagnosed with any illness. for the last week my knees have been hurting, i am having trouble concentrating, headaches, aches, chills. i went to the doctor and i will be having some tests done tomorrow but i didnt mention lyme disease to him. can anybody help me figure out if i may have lyme disease??? i know this disease is transmitted by ticks and i don't recall being bit or having a rash of any kind. I have read the answers by the other members and I have to disagree. I have done numerous hours of research on Lyme (suspecting that I have it) and you can definately have Lyne without the bullseye rash. Only 50% of people ever see one. My doctor agrees. He is in the process of testing me and I am awaiting results.And trust me the comment about if u would have it u would know, is totally untrue. U wouldn't know because it is one of those diseases that have crazy migrating symptoms and is hard to diagnose. Do yourself a favor and tell your doc u would like to be tested. If he won't do it, find another. Have them test you for Lupus too, just in case. That is what my doc did. Better be safe than sorry. Good luck and keep us posted. Try this website too, very helpful. I have had about 22 of the listed symtoms. If you had been bitten by a tick you woud have noticed a pin point rash at the sight. I would talk to your Dr. and mention it since the bite could have occured in you head(hair) and you couldn't notice it. Unless you're in an area that has ticks in the wintertime, I don't think you have anything to worry about with Lyme disease. |

You should have been seen immediately if they are sure you have Lyme disease. You need treatment, and yes you need rest ... Unfortunately, those sound like some of the symptoms of Lyme Disease to me. Please make sure you get checked out by your doctor as soon as possible. It's easier to treat while it's still ... Meaning that he did have a case of Lyme disease... but he was treated. This means that he longer has lyme disease. However, this is what I think you are cluing into, he can still be tested to see i... Experts agree that most people who treated early do well. The problem is when people are not diagnosed early. One survey showed that half the patients had their diagnosis delayed for 4+ years becau... if you had an inconclusive lyme test with those symptoms, you should be retested now. there is no reason to wait a month. lyme can be difficult to diagnose as the tests for lyme come back with fals... |
