Anyone ever had lyme disease?

Has anyone contracted lyme disease and had a negative lyme test result and had problems getting a diagnosis? If so, what type of Dr. finally diagnosed you, and how? All lyme disease sufferers welcome to tell us your story, and share any advice you may have. Thanks in advance.

I was a hunter and used to hunt in the woods where the deer tick was getting more common
I sprayed with DEET and always wore long pants, sock

a few months after I lat time hunted I started to feel crappy- flu like symptoms with severe joint pain, mental fuzziness..etc
I had 2 negative results but continued to exhibit symptoms
after many many office visits to complain about my painful joints, fatigue
to shut me up? she ordered 4 samples of my blood to be sent out to 4 different labs State wide
one came back positive
so I did a 6 month regime of antibiotics
unfortunately I still have knee, hip pain and fatigue with a high ANA

Mr. Bush might have a story for ya

I have only known one family with a child who had lyme disease and they caught it too late and she passed away. I have given you a link to a site with much information regarding Lyme disease. "Twice and Angel" was written by Susan Umphress about her daughter's struggle.....very strong woman.
