Living with lupus?

I have a friend who has lupus and she has an aweful time of it. She was diagnosed in 2001 and has been down hill ever since. When she was diagnosed I started doing extensive research on the internet and such to learn about the disease. Her flares are really bad to the point of hospitalization. She was in her mid 20's when diagnosed. For those who have Lupus I would like to hear how you deal with it and how you balance your life so you are not overwhelmed. She had to give up teaching because she was so fatigued from the illness and the aweful side effects from the heavy meds. My heart goes out to anyone suffering from Lupus. I have seen how debilitating it is and I wish you all the best in your journey!! Thanks so much.

You may discuss this with me. Rather than owning one's disease, why not think of wellness? My aunt had lupus and she recovered with what I'm sharing with you.

There is no known "medical" cure. I emphasize, MEDICAL. What about getting at the cause through what medicine does not do?

She doesn't have to go through this.

Your welcome,

Laura

The best to you, too and I visualize your friend well. Report It
