Restrictive lung diseases? |
A 6 year old boy diagnosed with restrictive lung disease what does that mean and is there anything they can do for this? What is the prognosis of Restrictive lung disease in a young child. He was born with this. restrictive lung diseases are characterized by reduced compliance (i.e more pressure is required to expand the lungs because they are stiff). Obesity is another restrictive lung disease. The weight keeps the lungs from expanding. This is not in reference to the 6 year old boy...just an addition to the definition above. |
