Bladder cancer & lung nodules? |
my grandfather had bladder cancer. on wedensday, he is supposed to be having his bladder removed. this past friday, he had a ct scan done and found multiple nodules on his lungs. he is having a bone scan done tomorrow and if it is cancer on his lungs they will not be removing his bladder. more than likely the bladder cancer has metastasized into his lungs, its not lung cancer but bladder cancer cells has moved to his lungs.ask LOTS of questions to ALL his doctors as they tend to have poor communication between each other.I have been through this bladder cancer/movement into the lungs with my mom.it was done at ucla in california.feel free to e-mail me jay64@yahoo.com I'm no doctor, but the cancer could have spread. It depends on how early they caught it. I'm not sure of the odds but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Don't give up hope. My Dad had lung cancer 2 years ago, the man had never smoked a cigarette in his life. Luckily his did not spread and they took out a lobe of his lung and all is well. I am sorry for you honey, I do wish you the best. You will have to wait for the scan results, because anyone that gives you a percentage is lying -they don't really know. If it has spread to the bones too, it is very bad, so lets keep fingers crossed. Much love, will be thinking of you xx |
