Lung cancer radiology?

Is this the best treatment for lung cancer? Is it possible for the cancer to go away? I know it can be eliminated, the doctors said it wasn't operable because it would grow back, so they say radiology. Can cancer go away with radiology?

It really depends on the size of the tumor. If it has not spread to any lymph nodes or other organs then radiation can take care of it.I have treated many patients with a small tumor in the lung and it can be taken care of.The key word here is small!!! I am a bit confused because you say the Dr. would not operate because it would grow back. That means it is probably advanced. With advanced lung cancer, the chances of complete cure are low.I need more info but, please try the radiation.Side effects are nominal.Usually sore throat, fatigue and skin irritation....

yes it can i believe.it depends on how bad the cancer is.

it really all depends on what kind of Lung Cancer you have coz there are different kinds of Lung Cancer

Radiation causes less damage to body than chemo, but it also has its limitation. The doctor has to determine the dosage based on the location of tumors, and other factors. Most of the time, radiation can only make the Cancer cells inactive.
