What can cause fluid to build up in sites that have had surgery such as lumpectomy? |
had lumpectomy in august of 06 since then had to have fluidremoved from site 2 times need it done again any one ever heard of this happening and why..after mamogram and sonogram was told i need it done again with this time fluid sent to lab. i also had radiation and chemo....its starting to scare me that the fluid returns. had it asperated just 10 daysago and its back again. please help me understand why its happening it's the inflammatory response in your body.. it's natural healing process. Your body is healing still and with the constant invasion of needles and what not at the site I'm not surprised it hasn't gone away. I know this might not help but my body is still getting used to having my nipples pierced.. Yes they are pierced.. and the seepage in the breast area is more because of the large amount of lymph nodes and glands in that area. if your doctor can't answer this question I would suggest getting a new doctor or a second opinion on the problem because it might be normal for you, and it might not.. Hope this helped.. |
