Reconstructive Surgery after Breast Cancer Lumpectomy? |
Has anyone had this done? If so are you pleased with the results? What was the recovery time? Was it an out patient surgery? I've had augmentation due to a problem with my left breast. I am very please and recovery depends on an individual. I kept hearing nightmare stories, but I had NO PROBLEMS. i had a lumpectomy and didn't need constructive surgery, i thort that was just for mastectomy My ex had this done, It was outpatient surgery, and she had to have the other side done as well to match ...it took her a couple of weeks of pain and about a month to be comfortable with them, but in the end she was happy with them and to be quite truthful so was I...they were more spectacular than the originals... I am an MT and one of my clients had about 3-4 lumps removed from her breasts. She was a very full B cup and did not need any reconstruction. The surgeon did an excellent job closing the lumpectomy sites. The tissue removed for each one was about the size of a large shooter marble or maybe a ping pong ball. The breasts looked smooth and symmetrical. |
