Price for breast lumpectomy and a mastectomy? |
Hi! My mother is considering her options but the doctors have not told her a price! We have no insurance, we have the means to pay cash. We are just curious as too how much it really is. Thank you! It will vary from hospital to hospital and doctor to doctor. You could call the hospital it would be done in and get a price. Also, the doctor should be able to tell you his/her charge (or at least the billing people at his/her office). Each doctor involved will also send you a bill. You could have two surgeons and an anesthetist. There would also be a doctor from the lab who will look at the tissue and give an opinion on what he/she is seeing. It is also possible to go to an outpatient clinic for the surgery. I did that and I think it was a very bad idea. I had a lot of pain and felt it wasn't being addressed very well at all. |
