Has anyone NOT taken anti-cancer medication following lumpectomy? Don't want side-effects. Will have radiation

Had a one centimeter invasive breast tumor. Arimidex is recommended but it's outrageously expensive and has awful side-effects. I believe I can remain cancer-free without taking it and am looking for support.

Almost all the women in my family have had breast cancer and have had traditional treatment and are doing very well. Hang in there.
