Does anybody know of a way to improve vision and lower a prescription for a nearsighted person ?

The only proven ways to improve your eyesight are through glasses, contacts, LASIK surgery, or a contact lens procedure called orthokeratology. You can try to exercise your eyes all you want, but your eye doctor most likely will find that it hasn't made any difference in your vision.

Well it may or may not work for you, but I found that going out, and working on my focusing, in the outdoors, in a rural setting, helped. It was when I was hunting, that I realized that my sitting still, calmly, and slowly focusing adjusted my sight. I had to go out where it was quiet and still - away from the fast pace (daytime) and bright lights (night) of the city to get these results. And it took several weeks of outings (hunting trips). I found that my shooting improved - that is how I was sure what I was doing - worked!
