Does low blood sugar cause weight gain? I also get blurry vision and bad headaches.?

The weight gain is probably water retention that can at times be seen with diabetics. The blurry vision and headaches are probably due to hyper or hypoglycemia, and should subside with proper glucose monitoring. You should consult a physician for a proper management plan.

Not normally, you are more likely to pass out if it gets too low adn go into a coma if it falls drastically.
It will cause blurry vision and headaches though in the early stages.
Get your blood tested. This can be a serious illness if left untreated.

low blood sugar does not cause weight gain.the blurry vision and bad headaches is due to the swelling of the brain in the episodes. it does not cause any long term damage but after a low blood sugar your body will need to rest in order for it to act like it should again.

Are you diabetic, hypertensive, or are you in good health and just starving yourself to lose weight?

If diabetic, eat a candy bar to bring the level up. You should see a doctor. Bad headaches can result of a myriad of problems, among them hypertension or food allergies.

I think you need to see your doctor. You need to have your blood pressure checked, also. Sugar and blood pressure. Too high blood pressure can cause severe headaches. I know from experience. Could the weight gain be some water retention???

Hi, im personally a diabetic and i have expeirienced alot of low blood sugars. The headache and blurred wision are totally normal w/ a low. I personally know that it will not make you gain weight, im 15 and still only weigh 109.4 ive been diabetis for 3 years. maintaning my same weight. This will cuase eye sight damaging though!

Blurry vision and headaches....if you don't already suffer with migraines it could be this BUT I must emphasize that you should see a doctor because, although less common it can be something more serious, eg. aneurysm etc.

Get it checked out a.s.a.p
