Low blood pressure??? |
sometimes i get blackouts where i am doing a normal everyday activity and i just lose my vision but its only for like 2 seconds and then it comes back. i have had it ever since i can remember and i thought it was normal as crazy as that sounds... and every time i sit down and i have to stand up again i get these major headaches that will not go away for like 2 or 3 hours. the headaches only happen when i go from sitting to standing not from standing to sitting. i was just wondering if this is a sign of low blood pressure... Yes it's a sign of low blood pressure. You'll probably need to see a neurologist and have an EEG just to rule out any neurological (brain) problems. Also, you should check your adrenals. Sometimes, low adrenals (adrenal insufficiency) is related to low blood pressure, blackouts, dizzy spells, headaches, etc. I experience the same things. Mine is from low blood pressure. It sounds like that may be what you have also, but your doctor will probably run some tests to find out for sure. Good luck. Sounds like the symptoms of low blood pressure to me. However I have low blood pressure (usually it's like 80/50) but I don't have symptoms; it's normal for me, but for you it sounds like it may be causing a problem. Your doctor will tell you more of course and I could be completely wrong, but dizzy spells is another sign of low blood pressure. alot of people have those episodes -its not necessarily -low blood pressure -however -it sounds like you have what is described as orthostatic changes -orthostatic changes -are described as when you lie down flat -for 1 minute and then sit up -your blood pressure changes -as well as when you go from sitting down -for 1 minute to standing up -again the blood pressure will change --what i have found to help with this -is take a few deep breaths -dont hyperventilate-but breathe in through you nose -and exhale out of your mouth-then slowly stand up -you can also try, just before you get up from a sitting position straighten out your legs and bend them back a couple of times to get circulation going --it works for me -and i have done it for so long -i dont even realize im doing it anymore -and i dont have any more problems with it --i hope this helps --good luck i think its low blood pressure too. I have this quite often too although the doctor has put it down to exhaustion - low blood pressure is out of the question, it's just a normal thing with me. |
