More than once a day my vision blacks out... why?

This isn't because of a blood pressure drop when I stand up. It can happen no matter what I'm doing and no matter when. I can be laying on my couch and it happens. I'm not sure if I have low blood pressure but normally I'm fine. I'm pretty sure it's from lack of O2 to my eyes but I'm not sure why. My head feels a little weird when this happens too. It's almost like it's tight, like when you stretch a muscle that has fallen asleep. Thanks so much for any help.

I was just going to say that it could be due to the structure of the eyes (damaged due to trauma).

But when you added that you feel a weird sensation when these episodes happen, it is not only structural. Please see a neurologist as soon as you are able.

Also please have your blood sugar checked. It can be a factor.

You need to see a doctor. Loss of vision without any other symptom really needs to be checked out.

That's not right.

Call your doctor first thing in the morning.

I agree, see a doc.

u might want to see a doctor

Like everyone else, I'd certainly recommend seeing a doctor as soon as you can. My petit-mal seizures are quite similar to the symptoms you describe.
