Low blood sugar...? |
I recently had a blood test, and my doc said that my blood sugar was a little low. I eat a fairly balanced, healthy diet, and I eat about every 3 hours. So I really don't know why its low...but my real question: what are the negative consequences of having low blood sugar? Should I try to fix it and if so, what should I eat? Well I am not diabetic and do not have low blood sugar im actually kind of the opposite I get high bloodsugar or it goes real low and then high but I have had it all my life (I am 15). The negative consequences of low blood sugar that you can get are mainly feeling frustrated or angry, cannot seem to focus, feel sick in many ways like nauseous or stomach ache, and your mood can be effected. If you get really low blood sugar I know diabetics take sugar or insoline to cure it but the best thing to do would to have a little bit of sugar. Another thing you can do is to have protein like milk or some peanuts (thats what I always do and it works). Now I do not know a lot about low blood sugar but I have gone through a lot of diabetic and hypoglycemic problems since I was extremely young. Hope this helps you! |
