Low blood sugar or anxiety?


i'm just wondering I have an anxiety disorder and I just started going to college from high school starting in sept. and a few weeks after I started to feel more anxious; at the end of november all of a sudden I got this physical feeling I call it a weakness but i'm really not sure if that's really what it is; could I have problems with low blood sugar all of a sudden if I never have had any in the past? or does this sound more like my anxiety?

you should go to your doctor... ya it does sound like you might have low blood sugar tho... you should do breathing excercises.. they help.. or yoga..

I get both and sometimes it is hard to tell which is which.

It could be a combination of both. Stress can cause you to not eat properly and in turn get low blood sugars and in turn also feel anxious. All you can do is get a blood glucose machine and get test yourself when you feel this coming on and see.

If you drink energy drinks or caffeine I suggest you stop as these bring on anxiety attacks quite easily. Look at your diet also as something you are eating may be the cause. A lot of fruit especially the likes of kiwi fruit, nuts and berries are great.

I started learning that I had diabetes when I went to college. I had a lot of anxiety from all the demands. I was also a type one diabetic, but it had always gone undiagnosed. Get checked out. You may have a problem you didn't know about.

I wish I would have been checked. I didn't, and thirteen years after high school, I almost died before I figured out that I have a real problem. I'm fine now, but I wish someone would have just told me to go. Not by yelling, but by lovingly asking me to do it, out of concern, and not out of spite.
