Quick question about low blood sugar? |
how quickly can your blood sugar drop from fasting? and also can low blood sugar cause seizures? i heard it can, but isn't that only if it's dangerously low? How fast it drops depends on MANY factors. Are you otherwise healthy, i.e., are you NOT a diabetic? Have you been exercising? Are you stressed? As you see there are many variables which makes that part of the question hard to answer. you can go in a coma and die Fasting can actually cause your body to start churning out stored glucose and raise your bg. Yes, sometimes it can get dangerously low from fasting, and yes, it DEFINITELY causes seizures! |
