Low blood sugar breath?

whats the word for that sickly sweet smell of your breath when your blood sugar is low?

its not called bad breath ugh they had it on an episode of CSI once...

It's called bitter almond breath. It comes from all the ketones produced in your body during low blood sugar episodes.

I've never heard of that when blood sugar is low. Are you talking about the fruity smell when it is high? Acidosis? or Ketoacidosis?

Actually, ketoacidosis describes the acidification of the blood caused by a buildup of ketones and other metabolic products (such as acetone, which is what gives the breath the characteristic fruity odor), not the actual breath itself. I don't know of there is a word just to describe the odor, I usually refer to it as ketone breath. But it's pretty uncommon, even if people who are in DKA.
