Does low blood sugar mean i'm diabetic?

I have low blood sugar. Does that mean i have diabetes or that i will develop diabetes?

so far the second answer has been better. the third is mistaking high blood sugars with low. Having low blood sugars is not an idicator of diabetes, infact that is the opposite of what happens when you become diabetic. When you are diagnosed with diabetes you will have very high blood sugars due to the lack of insulin. This sounds more like hypoglycemia, which is when you produce too much insulin resulting in low blood sugars. Go to a Dr. and dietitian and they can help you to set up a good diet to help keep those sugars up. When you get those lows though please drink some juice or soda to raise it back up and then eat something like bread or pasta to help keep your blood sugar up.

it is a possiblity that you could develop it. You should set up a time to meet with your physician and he could probably do further testing?

low blood sugar is hypoglycemia (not sure of spelling) and no it doesnt mean you will be diabetic i am diabetic and when i get low blood sugar i have to get juice into me fast to bring it back up

most of the time if you are having low blood sugar it ia a pre diabetic thing and eventually will turn in to diabeties but it could take years,the best thing to do is treat it as if you were one already,lay off sugars sodas and that sort of stuff eat senseably and dont make that pancreas work to hard
