Is there a cure or will there be a cure for Lou Gehrig's Disease?

There is someone that I am very close to that has Lou Gehrig's. It really hurts me to see this person like this. Will there be a cure for Lou Gehrig's?

thanks for your fast answer Glenn M! i appreciate it and your understanding.

No. There is no known cure presently - only palliative care - they continue to do research - let's pray for the best - a cure for this illness!

There's no cure now, but there's a lot of research going on and we're making breakthroughs all the time, so hopefully we'll have a cure in the near future
