Do you know of alternate medicine to slow Lou Gehrig's disease?

My father passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) 2 yrs. ago... Rilutek is currently the only med that can help slow the disease. There are a lot of scams out there - don't buy into them. My dad had bulbar onset and this form progresses faster than limb onset.
Visit the main website below - it has a lot of good info. on this very cruel disease.

pot

nope

I don't think the medical profession has hardly made any progress in extending the life of someone with ALS.

A family member of mine has recently passed away from Lou Gehrig's disease. We have tried all kinds of stuff, different diets, vitamins, herbs, supplements...nothing helps. It all depends(how fast it progresses)on the age of the person, the fitness level, emotional support... I really hope YOU can find something that works!
lol

The only medication I've ever heard of to prevent progression is riluzole or Rilutek. It may only have mild benefits, but can be considered as an option.
