What are the purpose and function of short-term and long-term health care facilities agency?

pls. i really need the answer a.s.a.p thank you

Well, a short term health care facility is aimed at treating, rehabilitating and sending the patient home. The patient usually has suffered an injury and only needs to be there a shrort while. The long term care units, have to be equipped to handle long term rehabilitation and possible semi permanent residency by the patient. They need to facilitate visitors and usually allow families to decorate the rooms for the patients to make it more homely. Long term facilities often manage coma patients as well as contain brain injury units and life support units. - Thats the simple difference. There is of course a lot more to it.
