My dad is a wwII vet can he get into a V.A (nursing home) hopital for long term care? Absolutely!! My dad is also a WWII vet and he currently is in a longterm care facility. The VA hospital provided us with a list of approved facilities and we visited them and found one that we liked. The costs were all covered with his Medicare and VA benefits. Contact your VA hospital and they will provide you with all of the information that you need. Even if he fully qualifies, he most likely can not be placed there. They have a waiting list severals years long in most VA Old Soldier Homes yes he can and not have to wait. my uncle found out he had cancer and got right in. |
