(living in the UK)I booked an appointment at the dentist and they said ...........? |
..they have a place available in october so thats booked, but that is to long, i understand that its very hard to get an early appointment with the issue with the goverment etc, But it is important. What can i do, if i go to a orthadendist i will have to pay wont i? I have a tooth that is next to the 2 fornt tooth which is slowly moving forward and im horrified with the fact it could move my 2 front tooth which are perfect:(:(:(:( ,,,,,,its a shame innit.....but this is the system that is dictated by the NHS, that the Dentist has to work to. It is highly unlikely that an Orthodontist will see you without a referral from your Dentist (Again this is the system) but like all businesses they will see you if you are prepared to pay for private treatment.....but hang on a bit.....this cannot have happened to you overnight can it!!!! this would have been showing itself as a problem for some time prior to you posting this Q.....so why the rush just now? afterall you've had this problem for some time...teeth dont just go astray like that. Its highly unlikely that your condition will worsen in the next few months...and if it does it will only be by a millimetre....if that.,,,,which can soon be corrected by having a brace fitted.......its not the end of the world, take the appointment, maintain your oral hygiene programme and it'll work out for you. I gues your dentist is a NHS dentist. Won't move that fast but if your very worried go to the dental hospital. you get it free if your not employed. if you want to go to a private dentist you will have to pay, if you want to go to a NHS dentist, you will have to wait, i`m afraid. Don't worry about your teeth. Soft food like mushed up bananas tatse really good. sorry I cant help I would wait, because you have got an appointment, it might cost a lot to go to a orthadendist. ive lived in the uk all my life and i cant even get an appointment with a nhs dentist my advice is go private it will cost you but in the end perfect teeth.it will be worth the money. 16 if not working there is an element of free treatment... It'll feel longer away if you keep thinking about it. your on nhs yes keep ringing up to see if there is a cancellation best to try 2 to 4 Most Dentists will move you up if you say it's causing you pain. |
