If you had a choice living with your bipolar or not would you change it?

Hi if you had a choice between living with your bipolar or pressing a big button and it all going away would you press it?

I may have thought about pressing it years ago but now after all this time I realize that this is me and would not change that for anyone. with out bipolar I would not be the person I am now and that for the most part is something I do like being. learn to except what you have and that its not going away makes all the difference in my life.

no i would not press it god made us all special in our own ways this is the way he wants us to live our lives who are we to say he was wrong in giving someone and illness

I am bi-polar and I was recently diagnosed.
Strangely I work in a psychiatric Hospital will chronically ill people.
I have seen what years of sickness and medication to try and stable your mood can do to you.
When I found out I was bi-polar I told me husband if he wanted to leave me I would understand because seeing what those people go through day in and day out... i could not do that to him.
I fear that in the future it can manifest and become worse.
Currently, my mania is mild and I am controlling it, but if there comes a time when you can't control yourself, that is how you get committed to a hospital.
Personally, that is not something I want, nor did I ever ask to be bi-polar.
As for people answering this question, unless you are bi-polar or have a family member or friend with the illness, you have no right to respond to this question-
Only those that live with it truly understand what it is like...

No, not now. Years ago I would have, but sometimes I enjoy alittle energy after a dip. I have worse problems I would like a button for.
