Why do I ALWAYS have nightmares, every time I fall asleep in my living room?

it almost never fails, every time I fall asleep, in the living room only, I have a really vivid nightmare. It doesnt happen anywhere else, just in there. Nothing bad happened to me in the living room..its not a creepy place to be in during the day, but sure enough of I fall asleep on the couch or something, I have a terrible nightmare.

Years back, the same thing would happen every time I fell asleep in my mothers room. without fail, every time I'd have a nightmare. Nowhere else in the house, just in her room, and now its that way in the living room.

Today I fell asleep in the living room and had a dream that I was watching some man being brutally tortured to death. it was so vivid, and real.

Any idea why this happens?

that's whats so weird about it. I never watch horror movies because they're always gorey and I absolutely hate gore. I cant stomach it at all. Atleast if I were watching those I'd understand why Im having such vivid dreams, but I dont, so it doesnt make sense.

A while back I used to have a lot of nightmares. I noticed over time that I most often awoke from vivid, frightening dreams while laying on my back, as opposed to my stomach or side. Is there any chance sleeping in the living room results in a similar position?

I think regardless of that though, you may be having nightmares simply because you're consciously aware of the eerieness in your house, and you've identified a connection between your nightmares and falling asleep in the living room. Perhaps if you were to get extremely occupied with unrelated tasks and fall asleep in your own room for a few weeks, the next time you fall asleep by accident in the front room you won't even have noticed that you didn't have a nightmare.

I could give other details about my own situation with the nightmares...but why am I gonna go stickin scary thoughts in your head so close to bed time? ;)

Go see a psychic.

I'm not sure, but maybe because you expect it to happen, that's why it keeps happening.
It's all in your mind.

Are you watching horror movies? My daughter had the same thing happen to her in her living room of an apartment/house she rented. After this went on for a while, she began seeing a little boy coming in and out of the coat closet by the front door. Then she would see him walk across the room into another hall/linen closet. After further inspection, she found that the coat closet used to be the entry to the room, and the hall/linen closet was closed off to a stairway upstairs. Wait for your dreams to materialize into the next step of this journey, surely there will be a follow up. Perhaps there was a murder in the room(s) before you moved there. I won't tell you what she found out about the boy: wait for the book. . .

Strong energy in there... but you only pick it up when your mind is most open. Pay attention to the nightmares, there may be a clue as to why or what happened in there that is causing the strong energy in the first place.

Also, your nightmares, although scarey to you, may not be nightmares at all, but rather the energy trying to send you a message, or call out to you for help. If theres a trapped spirit in there, try leaving a phone book open to the listing of the nearest funeral home, or hospital, or leave a note with directions...some spirits get trapped and need to find the nearest place where death occurs (for reasons to long to go into here), they may need your help to find a place to go to move on.

You may have more psychic ability than you realize btw.
