How do you get used to living alone?

I've been living with a bunch of people until now but now they're moving and I will be by myself. Just wondering how easy it is...since I'm used to having people around me. I'm a little anxious about it. How do I deal with it? Any words of advice, encouragement?

You might find yourself appreciating the peace and quite. also you can do anything you want at anytime without worrying about someone elses scheldue. You can have your friends over any time day or night Consider the positive benefits of being in controll , you will find it refeshing.

get a kitty or a dog, that might help :)

Read books, go out and meet new people, have a hobby !

Make sure you see people regularly - set up a weekly dinner with friends or family. Invite people over a lot. You'll appreciate your "me-time" more if you know you have regular "us-time" to break it up.
Also, keep the radio on - sometimes it's very comforting just to hear other people out there, to keep you connected to the outside world. Even if it's just classical music in the background while you're doing chores, it makes you feel less alone.

You might get a little lonely from time to time if you're a social person by nature.

Living alone has it's great rewards all in itself though. It means that YOU make the rules and can do things that otherwise might be discouraged around others like leaving the TV on all night, listening to loud music, using ALL of the hot water in the shower.

Not sharing a bathroom is nice and you can always go out and visit people if you get lonely.

Relish that solitude though...it's great once you get used to it and you might even decide that you don't want roommates ever again.

YOU DONT. YOU JUST NEED TO DEAL WITH IT. JUST REMEMBER YOU CAN ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU WANT

get a animal
leave the radio or TV on
get a friend
find a hobby
get a job or volunteer someplace
make sure you have a phone
invite people over
keeping busy is the best thing you can do if your starting to feel lonely. i was alone for 11 years before i started a family and i always kept my radio on just to hear the noise.
