Does anyone have first hand experience living with fibromyalgia? i've been recently diagnosed and wanted real |
people experiences, not "text book" or pamphlet answers... also no 'my sister's roomate's boyfriend's cousin's brother has it... I don't think you adjust to Fibro, I sure haven't. I have good days and bad days. I take several meds to help with the pain. You will have to find whats right for you. The flair ups are the worse. Seems like nothing can control the pain when I have a flair up. I exercise on a treadmill. I found a used one for sale so I wouldn't have to spend a lot of $$$. I spend 30 min a day on it an use it whenever my legs flair up too. Don't know anything about any diet that is supposed to help. I do eat alot of carrots and yogurt. Did you check Yahoo Groups for a group for people living with fibromyalgia? I bet they have great support there. The only thing I can tell you is my father was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and lived in pain for three years. Then he had his basement finished and while digging, to level dirt, to pour concrete they found a massive amount of chemicals in the ground right below his bedroom. Once it was all removed he was fine. I'm just saying, many times people are misdiagnosed. You may show all the signs of fibromyalgia, but it may be caused by something else. Just trying to give you a little hope, don't always settle on the opinion of a doctor. They have the degree, but they are human too, and make misdiagnoses more often than you can imagine. i dont believe in fibromyalgia. i had it, was not diagnosed with it but i had pain for no reason, doctors refuse to believe in it, i went to the doctor over and over but they didnt wanna see me anymore. they already did all the tests they needed to do. i felt like i got run over by a truck. couldnt get out of bed. i wanted to die. throbbing pain all over my body. i didnt understand whats happening to me and why doctors cant help me. |
