My grandmother had a ct scan of her liver and spots showed up what could this be?

There could be many different reasons for this- it could be liver disease which can be a result from too many narcotics or alcholhol or just runs in the family or it could be cancer of the liver. It could be a variety of diffrent causes ranging from very benign to something more serious. You should not worry too much because if it were something serious your doctor will tell you. It could be from cysts or just a natural variation of colour. Don't worry too much or you will worry your self sick, literally

if the doctor isnt worried, you shouldnt be. they are trained to know whats up

just about anything
they should be following it up with different scans and/or a biopsy (where they put in a needle and take out a little piece) to see what is going on.
