If someone has an overgrown liver what does it usually mean? |
The person started getting spots on her body most likely because of the liver problem, but she does not drink or do any drugs. What can be the cause of this and what should that person look forward to. What should she do, please only answer if you have similar problems or have useful information It is called an enlarged liver not overgrown. If one had liver disease and was diagnosed with this they would be in contact with that physician for the proper information. Meantime most older people develop dark pigmented spots on the skin that in days gone by were called liver spots. At one time folks thought the liver was the center of everything and it does have a big function but they were a little carried away. These spots are still sometimes referred to as liver spots but they have nothing to do with the liver. It usually means you should see a doctor instead of asking stab-in-the-dark questions online. |

That is kind of a vague question. Did a doctor tell you that you had a "spot"? Was it found on a CT or MRI? Has it already been biopsied? What are they recommending to be done about i... dark spots, areas of low density, are much less likely than bright spots to be cancer.
