About liver tests and results...your opinon please?

Hello, I had the exam with following results:
CT of the abdominal - Fatty Infiltrated of the liver
CT of the abdominal - Mosaic perfusion - airway
CT of the addominal - Masaic attenuation patern noted
X-Ray - chronic lung disease (possible)
Ultrasound - echogenic enlarged liver
Lung air test - normal
EKG and Stress test - normal

The problem is they found Hep B on my blood which I did not know and the worse is the pain I fell in my upper left quadrant that radiates to my back. Sometimes I can't tell if that pain comes from either my back, ribs or chest. It is a deep constant pain. I am 6.0 tall with 235 lbs. I also hear noise in my upper abdomen followed by swollen.

I just need your opinion please. I was depressed and still have not found the problem. I see mark in my back where pain is coming from (white spot like bit) swollen from back to the abdomen (under and above rib cage). slpeen looks fine, pancreas looks fine from CT - thank you

Hepatitis can cause fatty liver and the liver to be enlarged. a Check out hbvadvocate.org for good hep b information. You will need to determine if you have an acute case of Hep B (HBV) or chronic. That will involve simple blood tests, if your doctor hasn't already done that. There are medications you can take for the HBV. It's important to treat it because HBV can lead to cirrhosis and liver cancer.

People that have had gall bladder problems have reported pain that goes "through" to the back, however, I'm not sure that's on the left side.The gall bladder is on the underside of the liver, which is on your upper right quadrant.
You should be seeing a gastroenterologist if your'e not already doing that. Best wishes.

Your results sound like what one would expect from a chronic alcoholic. However, it could also be caused by the Hep B. You need to see a gastroenterologist for treatment of the liver problems. The pain you are feeling is likely from an enlarged liver. You need to follow up ASAP, as untreated liver disease can cause death and disability.
