I am a liver disease patient.also i am having low platelet count. what kind of food i can take to maintain goo

i want to have a food habit which should not disturb or overload my digestion system and not to worsen my liver condition.the suggested food also will be able to counter the side effects of the medicine D-PENNICILAMINE-250

From my own understanding:
D- pennicilamine is to bind copper or iron in
your body so it can be removed. It is also
used as an anti inflammatory drug for those
with arthritis.
It said on a pharmacy web site that if you do have to take either iron or calcium products, they should be taken at least 2 hours before or after taking this medication. You should not take
this medication with milk products.
This medication can lower blood cell counts,
like platelets, in some patients.
..........
IF your disease is hemochromatosis,
which is iron overload...you may want to
look at this site:
http://www.ironoverload.org/Diet.html
..........
Whether it is iron or copper, you can learn
how to limit it in your foods by looking at
this government listing. They list the
foods either by how much of a certain
thing, like iron or copper, is in it and also
by alphabet of what the food is.
It is an excellant site:
http://www.ars.usda.gov/Services/docs.ht...

Should you not be able to go into this
particular document. Here is the name of
the government site:
Nutrition.gov
In your search engine, it is usually the
first entry...
.....
There is information on the web:
type in your search engine: "Hemochromatosis diet" if you have
overload of iron or "Wilsons disease
diet " if you have overload of copper.

I hope this is of some help.
Seeing a nutritionist can be arranged by
your doctor office if the doctor wants you
on a special diet.

I think you should ask your doctor.

Is your liver problem due to an increase in enzymes? If so, Milk
Thistle may help. Its relatively cheap, and may be purchased over the counter.

Not being funny here but try eating liver. Its very high in iron and very good for you.

you shouldn't ask for answers on this site be safe and ask your doctor or a dietitian they know best. We all mean well to help answer question but we are not doctors & everyones situation is different.
