Gradual liver flush??

Ive seen alot of things about liver flushes to help pass gallstones and prevent liver disease and other things. Most of the home procedures require an odd mixture of epson salt, olive oils and other things and an entire day where you have to sit around the house and make frequent trips to the bathroom. So what I'm basically asking is if there is a more gradual way to flush your liver like drinking a certain kind of juice or other liquid in high moderation on a daily basis??

Im looking for more of a detox thing

Sigh....
Salts, fats, and acids (like the one in the stomach) produce soap. Those aren't gall stones.

I like the Liver cleanse products by renew life, though they suggest that you use the overall cleanse product first (which makes some sense)....they are safe and gentle....see the website. You can find them at vitaminshoppe.com as well.

Good Luck

This liver flush (using olive oil etc.) is NOT healthy. A medical doctor in the states Dr. Gaby once presented at a conference and explained that they have done studies on this treatment and actually found that people would pass stones after doing this flush, and of course most people thought that they were passing gall stones....however when they analyzed the stones they found that they were made up of....olive oil, espom salts, lemon etc. - whatever it was that the people included in their flush had somehow almost congealed and created stones....so be careful! There are much better ways to do a liver detoxification - such as eating a hypoallergenic diet and taking some supplements to help regulate your phase one and phase two detoxification! And don't just get a supplement in a health food store because usually companies just throw a whole bunch of herbs in a formula and the dosages are not at therapeutic levels. Go see a registered Naturopathic Doctor that can guide you through this process!

Addition: If liver detoxification doesn't work then how do you explain the alteration of AST, ALT, LDL etc. after doing proper detoxification???

Maybe a liver detox is what you are looking for? Try a detox tea (Yogi makes some good ones in bags) or buy a whole alterative tea. 2-3 cups a day for a few weeks will flush your liver of toxins. I don't know if this helps with gallstones though.

"Detox" is a fantasy. Nothing you eat or drink will "detox" you. You can PRETEND your liver is getting "detoxed", but in reality, nothing will be changed at all. And none of those "flushes" accomplish anything either!
