What is parachymal liver disease?

I have a friend that was just diagnosed with this but the doctors here haven't told him exactly what it is so he is going to another doctor in another country of second opinion. Does anyone know what this disease is, what causes it, and if there is any cure?

Sorry I spelled parenchymal wrong the first time. Parenchymal live disease.

The parenchyma is the essential or functional elements of an organ, not its framework or stroma. Basically, parenchymal liver disease involves the liver cells, or Hepatocytes. If is a descriptive term, not a diagnostic one. I suppose that is why he has to go to a specialist for further evaluation.
